This one is an oldie but a goodie.  I swear nothing but good things happen when I play this song.  Michael McDonald's voice is something serious y'all!  He's so soulful, heartfelt..just ...damn!!  Enjoy =]

Friday Inspiration:Symmetry

I have the hardest time trying to make things symmetric, it ranges from a butterfly drawing to applying eyeliner.  Whenever I try to draw a butterfly, one side looks great and then the other side is just tragic.

 So to inspire me to keep on trying, here are some symmetrical images!

The first one is a drawing I did with a micron pen..no pencil!  I think I may start drawing more stuff with a micron pen, it's like you need to make every line you draw count.

The next two drawings were done with a standard pencil.

Sparklers+Camera

I hope you all had a great & safe Fourth of July.  It felt so weird this year because it fell on a Wednesday, all I had was pizza & a strawberry pina colada(SO GOOD).

Fourth of July to me means sparklers.  That's pretty much the only "firework" that I will come in close contact with.  Many years ago in St.Louis I lit some type of firework, turned around to run away and BAM!  Ran face first into a pole, I cried so much.  It's laughable now though haha.

But let's go back to present day, here are some pictures I took from me playing with some sparklers =]

Inspiration:Crystals

I have recently become interested in crystals, from their appearance to their healing powers.  Have you ever taken the time to really examine a crystal up close?  There's so much detail & it takes a great eye to be able to draw one, let alone paint one.

I one day will master a drawing of a beautiful crystal.  Practice makes permanent right?  Here are some photos of crystals & crystal drawings/paintings that are currently lighting up my soul.(click the photo for source)

What do you do when life takes over?

You neglect your blog :(.  Sorry I haven't been posting for awhile now.   I'm actually about to start a new blog, a personal style one to be exact.  But don't worry, this blog will still be around.

 I want this blog to be focused more on art, music & my DIY projects.  My other one will be more about "fashion"..you know, outfit postings & thrift store goodies.
