Some Drawings

I am still alive if you are still wondering.  Here are 3 drawings for your enjoyment(I hope :P )

The first one is a drawing I did with a micron pen..no pencil!  I think I may start drawing more stuff with a micron pen, it's like you need to make every line you draw count.

The next two drawings were done with a standard pencil.

I totally had an UH-DUH moment a couple of days ago. I was supposed to post a DIY project that I did, but I had a moment and posted it on my other blog.  So if you want to check out my DIY muscle tank project, click.... here !

DIY Studded Denim Vest

Another quick project, nothing too special.

I've had a denim jacket in my closet that I got from the thrift store for over a year now & I have yet to wear it.  There was something about the sleeves that felt a little bulky to me.  So, if there's something you don't like about an article of clothing..fix it!

I decided to cut the sleeves off & make myself a simple studded denim vest.

You can buy studs from ebay, I made the mistake in not paying attention to where the studs were sourced from.  I had to wait a month for my studs to come in the mail because I ordered them from..CHINA!  Oops!  Well here's the final product, & an outfit post too!

Oh! I must say that I also have this sick obsession with going to the thrift store, you can find so many goodies there!  I go to my local one about every other Sunday and always get a bunch of stuff.  I want to start looking for more homeware trinkets for my room.

If you follow me on instagram(_Jessicatee) you've already seen my thrift store finds.  I'll probably make it a regular posting on this blog..if I remember.  But almost everything in this outfit is from the thrift store.

Quick Sunday Project-Dip Bleach Dye

Hello everyone I hope you all had a good weekend.  And to all the mothers out there, happy mother's day.

This is a quick little post that kind of has something to do with my bleaching obsession.  I haven't used a colored shirt yet to try dip dyeing yet.  I actually bought a shirt from the thrift store today to try and dip dye, but I failed miserably haha.  Don't use a shirt that's 100% cotton to dip dye if it isn't black.  It's all about trial and error, who needs google?!  So after realizing I wasn't getting anywhere, I decided to dip dye a black blouse of mine.  All you need is a bucket, bleach, and a shirt(obviously)

After you dunk your shirt into the bleach, let it sit and wait until you're pleased at how much the color has changed.  Here's my finished shirt.

The only thing I would change is having the bleach hit the shirt a little lower, like under the pocket.  Other than that, I'm pretty pleased!

Happy Sunday.

Bleach Frenzy

Must stop bleach dying things...ah screw it.  It's so much fun!  Bleach & tie dye are my new favorite things.  A couple of days ago I bleach dyed some leggings of mine.  I got the tutorial from this amazing blog abevyof .  It's super easy.

And THENNN.. I dyed some jeans of mine.  I just bought a white pair from forever 21 & dyed them blue.  It wasn't until afterwards that I realized I could've used blue jeans and bleached them haha.  My thought process is so backwards.  I cannot wait until I experiment with different hues & different shirts & jeans!

I like how much the blue faded after the waiting & washing process ended.  It's not super blue like that first picture.  I am a happy camper!  I also dip bleach dyed some shorts of mine.  Whenever I'm comfortable with showing off my meaty legs maybe I'll wear them out.

Final note..I WILL be posting some of the drawings of the pictures I took while at longwood gardens. I've just been lazy :)

DIY-Fancy Boots

I love me a good DIY project.  If you picked up the newest issue of NYLON magazine, then you would be very excited about their little DIY article, it's pretty bad ass.

PLEASE CLICK TO ENLARGE ON ALL PICS! :)

The only thing I skipped on with the materials list is the brilo pad & leather cleaner.  Here's what I did in picture form!

(I went to my local thrift store & grabbed a bunch of chain belts)
(prep)

This was a pretty easy project, the only trouble was trying to figure out when enough was enough.  Got to work on self control!  Pick up your newest NYLON magazine & try it out!  What DIY projects have you been working on?

DIY-Floral Crown

I feel really sassy with this DIY. I kind of want to change it to DIYDS(Do It Yo' Damn Self).  This is probably the easiest DIY moment I've had.  And it's the one I love the most.  You can do so many different varieties!  I'm almost appalled that Free People has similar floral crowns between $28-$78.  Pardon my french but, fuck that!

I love free people, but damn that is way too much.  So I'm here to show you guys how you can make your own for less than $5. But if you want clasp claw closure in the back I'm sure the total would still be less than $10, just go to your local craft store and buy it.  I'm just doing the easier(even though the clasp claw closure would be easy too) version for now.

So here we go!  DIYDS Tutorial-Floral crown

(Cording, hot glue gun, dollar store flowers)

Now here are the steps in pictures!(CLICK TO ENLARGE!)
